This program is being conducted August 3-7\, 2020 and is hosted by the Bridgeport\, WV Police Department at Benedum Civic Center located at 164 West Main Street in Bridgeport\, West Virginia.\n  \nNEW CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS SEMINAR\nThis five-day team-conducted seminar is designed specifically for the new criminal investigator\, personnel who anticipate future criminal investigation unit assignment\, and those with little or no previous formal training on topics relating to the methodology and procedures involved in criminal investigations. Instructor classroom presentations coupled with textbook readings and suggestive references connected to these classroom presentations\, will give participants a solid foundation and understanding of basic investigative techniques and mentally prepare for more advanced studies. \n  \nTOPICS INCLUDE:  \n\nAn Overview of Criminal Investigation\nElements of Writing Sound and Effective Reports \nObtaining Information and Intelligence\nCanvassing Witnesses and Identifying Case suspects\nTypes and Categories of Death Investigations\nSex Offenses\nCrimes Perpetrated Against Minors and Children\nRobbery and Burglary Investigation\nProperty Offenses\nDrug Investigations\n\n\nLOCATION/TIME:  Seminar conducted August 3-7\, 2020 at the Benedum Civic Center\, 164 West Main Street in Bridgeport\, West Virginia\, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.   \n\nPARKING: Available across the street in the City Parking Lot and off North Virginia at the tennis courts. \n\nFEE: $295 per person \n  \nDISCOUNT RATE:  Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50).  Enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free. \n\nREGISTRATION: To register for this seminar\, please complete our online registration form by July 27\, 2020.
