This program is being conducted October 19-20\, 2020\, and hosted by the Ocala Police Department\, Ocala\, Florida.  \nCALL-TAKER/DISPATCHER CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT \nDesigned to improve the skills of call-takers and dispatchers needed to deal with life threatening emergencies\, crimes-in-progress calls\, officer-in-trouble\, and other situations in which immediate officer dispatch to the scene is necessary. \nTopics include: \n\nroles and responsibilities of the telecommunicator\nthe basics of gathering information\nhow to prepare for\, gather and dispatch information to field personnel during natural and man-made disasters;\nofficer safety issues\nsuicide and crisis negotiations for the telecommunicator\nhandling personal stress when these situations occur\n\nINSTRUCTOR: Miles Turner\, Communication Center Supervisor\, Ret.\, Virginia State Police\, Richmond\, Virginia. \nLOCATION/TIME: Seminar conducted October 19-20\, 2020 at the Ocala Police Department\, 402 South Pine Street\, Ocala\, Florida\, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily. \nFEE: $295 per person. \nDISCOUNT RATE:  Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50).  Enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free. \nREGISTRATION: To register for this seminar\, please complete our online registration form by October 12\, 2020.
