DESCRIPTION:ADVANCED CRIME SCENE PROCESSING\nThis is a 3-day program with attention to body fluids and trace evidence. Topics covered include: \n(1) Scientific Basis of Body Fluid Examination \n(2) Blood and Bloodstains and their Collection \n(3) Seminal Stains \n(4) Other Types of Fluids such as Saliva\, Urine\, and Fecal Matter \n(5) Fingerprint Recovery and Preservation \n(6) Trace Evidence Associated with Clothing \n(7) Recovery of the Clothing of the Victim \n(8) Cloth Fragments and Impressions \n(9) Threads \n(10) Fibers \n(11) Hair \n(12) Soils\, Rocks\, and Minerals \n(13) Debris   \n  \nStudents will then apply the concepts learned in the classroom and will preserve\, document\, and process two (2) separate crime scenes as if they were preparing a case. \nStudents will be provided basic crime scene materials but are encouraged to bring their own crime scene materials that they are familiar with using or are utilized by their individual departments.\n \n  \nDATE\LOCATION/TIME: July 18 – 20\, 2022\n(VFW) 340 Holland Avenue\nWestover\, WV 26501\n8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily \n\nREGISTRATION FEE/DISCOUNT RATE: $595 per person.  Enroll two agency personnel at $595 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($247.50) OR enroll three agency personnel at $595 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free. \nREGISTRATION/CANCELLATION POLICY:  Complete the attached registration form and return it with your check or purchase order no later than July 11\, 2022.
