Pre-Employment Background Investigation – Perspectives on the Process

This is a basic two-day seminar for investigators with little experience or formal training in performing pre-employment background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include:

(1) the importance of the pre-employment background investigation
(2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation
(3) federal laws relating to the employment of the handicapped
(4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation
(5) pre-employment interview techniques
(6) various tests that can be used in the background investigation
