CALL-TAKER/DISPATCHER CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT: April 26-27, 2021

Designed to improve the skills of call-takers and dispatchers needed to deal with life threatening emergencies, crimes-in-progress calls, officer-in-trouble, and other situations in which immediate officer dispatch to the scene is necessary.

Topics include:

  • roles and responsibilities of the telecommunicator
  • the basics of gathering information
  • how to prepare for, gather and dispatch information to field personnel during natural and man-made disasters;
  • officer safety issues
  • suicide and crisis negotiations for the telecommunicator
  • handling personal stress when these situations occur

DATE/TIME: April 26-27, 2021  – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily

LOCATION: Southampton Town Police Department, 110 Old Riverhead Rd., Hampton Bays, NY

FEE: $295 per person

DISCOUNT RATE:  Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50).  Enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free.
