Announcing a seminar focusing on Investigative Report Writing. This program is being conducted October 13-14, 2021 at the Little Creek Country Club in Charleston, WV.
INVESTIGATIVE REPORT WRITING
This program will focus on the composition and writing of investigative reports. It will provide a review of specifics which the report should contain. The program is recommended for personnel who desire to sharpen their skills.
Topics include:
- identification of the essential elements of an investigative report, to include the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of an incident under investigation
- formatting an investigative report for a clear, coherent statement of facts free from inconsistencies or contradictions
- applying the appropriate resources available to produce a professional and readable report
- properly cross-referencing the investigative report to related statements by interested parties and/or evidence
- self-editing reports prior to supervisory review
- supporting documents needed to clarify or amplify individual points or statements presented in the investigative report
LOCATION/TIME: Seminar conducted October 13 – 14, Little Creek Country Club #99 Fairway Drive South Charleston, WV 25303, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.
FEE: $295 per person
