Moving Up to Supervision – October 3-4, 2022

For new, first-line supervisors, or those who expect such an assignment. The program presents information for work situations and will emphasize ideas to aid supervisors in developing sound judgment, self-reliance, and resourcefulness.
Topics will include:
- the supervisor as a link between management and the workforce;
- skills required to develop professional relationships with subordinates;
- encouraging the growth of subordinates through recurrent evaluations and training;
- discipline and how it reduces stress and builds unit morale;
- employee problems and how they affect productivity and labor-management relations;
- systems approach to supervision, which includes targeting objectives and monitoring, measuring, and appraising subordinate’s performance;
- recognizing and dealing with troubled or troublesome employees.
LOCATION/TIME: October 3 – 4, 2022 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
LOCATION: Bucks County Public Safety/Police Training Center, 1760 S. Easton Road, Doylestown, Pennsylvania
FEE: $295 per person
