First Line Supervision; February 14-16, 2022

This seminar provides an extensive focus on skills and techniques that new unit supervisors might utilize in their day-to-day functions. It is designed for those officers with little or no supervisory training and who need such a program of study to effectively oversee their unit’s operation. Topics include:

  • Supervision as a management tool
  • Interpersonal communications
  • Motivation and leadership skills
  • Aspects and models for team building
  • Performance appraisal
  • Role of the supervisor as trainer and coach
  • Use of discipline as an important supervisory tool
  • Employees with problems and problem employees
  • Supervising officers from various backgrounds
  • Handling critical incidents within and outside the unit
  • Conflict resolution

LOCATION/TIME: February 14-16, 2022 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily

LOCATION: Bucks County Public Safety/Police Training Center, 1760 S. Easton Road, Doylestown, Pennsylvania

FEE: $295 per person

DISCOUNT RATE:  Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50).  Enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free.
