Call-Taker/Dispatcher Critical Incident Management – September 12-13, 2022

CALL-TAKER/DISPATCHER CRITICAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT 

Designed to improve the skills of call-takers and dispatchers needed to deal with life-threatening emergencies, crimes-in-progress calls, officer-in-trouble, and other situations in which immediate officer dispatch to the scene is necessary. Topics include:

(1) roles and responsibilities of the telecommunicator

(2) the basics of gathering information

(3) how to prepare for, gather and dispatch information to field personnel during natural and man-made disasters

(4) officer safety issues

(5) suicide and crisis negotiations for the telecommunicator

(6) handling personal stress when these situations occur.

DATE\LOCATION/TIME: September 12-13, 2022, Southampton Town Police Department 110 Old Riverhead Rd, Hampton Bays, NY 11946, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.

REGISTRATION FEE/DISCOUNT RATE: $295 per person.  Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50) OR enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free.
