This one-day seminar is designed specifically for officers and individuals who work in highly stressful environments or potentially volatile situations. Instructor presentations, practical exercises, and scenario presentations will help students understand their abilities and skills in a variety of conditions. Topics include:

(2) Basic verbal techniques as a method to de-escalate confrontations
(3) Enhancing the probability of an officer’s emotional survival
(4) Intervention techniques
(5) Resources that supervisors have when confronted with a problem employee
(6) The Six Pillars of Character
(7) Forces that create workplace tension
(8) The basic causes of conflict
