Announcing a seminar designed for personnel for officers and individuals that work in highly stressful environments or potentially volatile situations. This program is being conducted on September 14-18, 2020 hosted by the Bridgeport Police Department in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION / DIVERSITY / EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR
This one-day seminar is designed specifically for officers and individuals that work in highly stressful environments or potentially volatile situations. Instructor presentations, practical exercises along with scenario presentations will help students understand their individual abilities and skills in a variety of situations. We will be presenting this one-day course for five consecutive days to provide maximum ability for agency personnel to attend.
Topics include:
- The concept of emotional intelligence
- Basic verbal techniques as a method to de-escalate confrontations;
- Enhancing the probability of an officer’s emotional survival
- Intervention techniques
- Resources that supervisors have when confronted with a problem employee
- The Six Pillars of Character;
- Forces that create workplace tension
- The basic causes of conflict
LOCATION/TIME: September 14-18, 2020, 3 Timrod Drive, White Hall, West Virginia, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily
FEE: $195 per person.
DISCOUNT RATE: Enroll two agency personnel at $195 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($97.50). Enroll three agency personnel at $195 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free.
