FLORIDA POLICE RECORDS MANAGEMENT – Understanding of and Compliance to the Rules: April 19-20, 2021

Designed specifically for Florida law enforcement personnel, sworn or civilian, assigned to the records unit within their agency. Focus of the course will relate to the maintenance of records in an efficient manner and in compliance with Florida laws and regulations.
Topics covered will include, but will not be limited to:
- dealing with the public in terms of both public and exempt type records
- copying of records
- laws and statutes to follow in regard to the handling of your agency’s records
- resources available regarding interpretation of applicable laws
- applicable and permissible fees
- handling sealed and/or expunged records
- rules and regulations regarding retention and destruction in compliance with Florida guidelines
The program will also assist new records personnel to become acquainted with the options available to them to make their job easier and less stressful.
DATE/TIME: April 19-21, 2021 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily
LOCATION: Ocala Police Department, 402 S. Pine St., Ocala, Florida
FEE: $295 per person.
DISCOUNT RATE: Enroll two agency personnel at $295 per person and the third person is enrolled at half-price ($147.50). Enroll three agency personnel at $295 per person and the fourth person is enrolled free.
