Investigative Report Writing – May 13-14, 2021

This program will focus on the composition and writing of investigative reports.  It will provide a review of specifics which the report should contain. 

Topics include:

• identification of the essential elements of an investigative report, to include the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of an incident under investigation
• formatting an investigative report for a clear, coherent statement of facts free from inconsistencies or contradictions
• applying the appropriate resources available to produce a professional and readable report
• properly cross-referencing the investigative report to related statements by interested parties and/or evidence
• self-editing reports prior to supervisory review
• supporting documents needed to clarify or amplify individual points or statements presented in the investigative report

FEE: $295 per person
