Investigative Report Writing – November 15-16, 2021

This program will focus on the composition and writing of investigative reports. It will provide a review of specifics which the report should contain. The program is recommended for personnel who desire to sharpen their skills.
Topics include:
- identification of the essential elements of an investigative report, to include the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of an incident under investigation
- formatting an investigative report for a clear, coherent statement of facts and is free from inconsistencies or contradictions
- applying the appropriate resources available to produce a professional looking and readable report
- properly cross-referencing the investigative report to related statements by interested parties and/or evidence
- self-editing reports prior to supervisory review
- supporting documents needed to clarify or amplify individual points or statements presented in the investigative report.

FEE: $295 per person
