A two-day seminar for persons new to or with little experience in overseeing their agency’s recruitment process. The program is ideal for those who have taken the previously offered “Pre-Employment Background Investigation” seminar. It goes beyond that program’s content to explore in-depth vital aspects and topics concerned explicitly with the recruiting and hiring of suitable candidates for departmental openings.
Topics include:
(1) The changing workforce in the United States
(2) Federal hiring law and EEC guidelines
(3) Management strategies for staffing and supervising a recruitment unit
(4) Using the internet
(5) Sample advertisements and scripts
(6) Minority hiring and affirmative action programs
(7) Experiences of successful and unsuccessful recruitment campaigns
