This seminar is designed specifically for officers and supervisors assigned the task of mentoring a new or underachieving employee or trainee. There are several challenges in ensuring that all efforts are undertaken to foster a productive employee for the agency. This program will consider some of the basic principles and applications that might be utilized in mentoring/counseling employees to enhance their assignment roles.
For new, first-line supervisors or those who expect such an assignment. The program presents information for work situations and will emphasize ideas to aid supervisors in developing sound judgment, self-reliance, and resourcefulness.

The program is ideal for those who have taken the previously offered "Pre-Employment Background Investigation" seminar. It goes beyond that program's content to explore in-depth vital aspects and topics concerned explicitly with the recruiting and hiring of suitable candidates for departmental openings.
This is an introductory two-day seminar for investigators who have little or no experience or formal training in performing pre-employment background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations.
