This program will assist the participant in focusing on critical areas and problems associated with communication center call-taking and dispatching. Efforts will be spent looking at the specific communication center environment and discussing the unique skills and techniques required of personnel engaged in these functions and fulfilling their duties.
Designed to improve the skills of call-takers and dispatchers needed to deal with life threatening emergencies, crimes-in-progress calls, officer-in-trouble, and other situations in which immediate officer dispatch to the scene is necessary.
This seminar is designed specifically for officers and supervisors assigned to mentoring a new or underachieving employee or trainee. There are a variety of challenges in ensuring all efforts are undertaken to ensure a productive employee for the agency. This program will consider some basic principles and applications that might be utilized in mentoring/counseling employees to enhance their assigned roles.
